Building System

As far as materials are concerned, we use the best quality and effective brands on the market, especially in the insulation section, thus achieving great energy efficiency, optimizing energy costs as much as possible. Using construction systems such as the SATE system or ventilated facades on the outside and ventilated breathable floors and roofs, managing to maintain a stable temperature inside.

CLT Structure

The main structure is made up of CLT panels. CLT panels are made up of sheets of wood glued in several layers crossed longitudinally and transversely, thus achieving great resistance, (more than brick), thermal and acoustic insulation and at the same time very light. They are usually made of pine wood. The sheets are glued under high pressure to form large-format solid wood panels. Depending on the structural requirements, 3, 5 or 7 layers are glued up to a maximum thickness of 24 cm. Hollow panels can also be used for ceilings and can reach flights of up to 7 meters without pillars or columns.

CLT panels provide significant environmental benefits that make this product superior to steel and concrete. CLT panels allow us to build walls, floors or roofs, create very open spaces, and even high-rise buildings. We have on the market a version with mineral wool filling for floors and roofs. This product allows us to build walls, floors or roofs, create very open spaces, and even high-rise buildings.

Ventilated facade

The facades can be ventilated or with the SATE system, in both cases with different finishes such as stone, wood, composite, acrylic mortars, porcelain, thermal paints, etc … Ventilated facades let air pass through it, achieving thus a stable temperature avoiding condensation and humidity and at the same time an acoustic insulation and a great help for a high energy efficiency together with other elements.

It is an architectural solution that provides both technical and aesthetic benefits. The traditional system for the façades consists of two sheets: an exterior wall and an interior partition, leaving an intermediate chamber, not ventilated and not very thick. The ventilated façade consists of placing a very light sheet on the outside, leaving a well ventilated chamber, even at the upper and lower ends.

This allows the entry and exit of air, producing a “chimney effect” that makes the air circulate throughout the chamber, helping to avoid the accumulation of heat and eliminating the humidity produced by rain or condensation. In addition, it blocks direct solar radiation and provides continuous insulation, considerably reducing the use of air conditioning.

SATE System

We speak of SATE system using the acronym for Exterior Thermal Insulation Systems, referring to the system used to thermally and acoustically isolate a facade from the outside. This system has great advantages from the point of view of energy, environmental and comfort savings, which is why it is a widely used system both in new construction and in building renovation.

The system used in our constructions is based on large-format panels with a polystyrene core and a layer of fiber cement joined together, buttressed.

Ventilated roofs

Ventilated roofs as well as ventilated facades have a constant flow of air, these can be flat roof or sloped roof, both with different finishes.

Flat roof

The ventilated flat roof would fall into the category of roofs that can be passable, where the slopes of the ground are almost non-existent for the use and enjoyment of space. In these cases, the thermal comfort of the home increases and condensation does not occur in the home

Inclined cover

These are the elements that make up pitched roofs:

  • Structural Support. It has the function of supporting all the layers that make up the roof and transmitting the loads vertically on the supporting elements.o.

  • Thermal Isolation. It has the function of protecting the interior environment against temperature differences.

  • Protection and final Finish. On the structural support a base plate is arranged to support the final finishing layer; the function of this last layer is to facilitate drainage, ensuring that water does not enter the interior and helping to ventilate the roof

The slanting of the skirts is an effective solution for the sliding of the water. The more the slope is increased, the greater the speed of the water. So that the water does not penetrate, the final finish is used with a waterproof material or that has a low absorption coefficient. The slope accelerates the sliding of the water, preventing its penetration through the joints of the elements.

The Inclined Roof is made up of skirts arranged with a slope greater than 10%. It has a protective layer and is made up of waterproof pieces on a base and overlapping each other, such as sandwich panel, tiles, slate, etc.

Windows and enclosures

In the exterior carpentry we also have various materials and finishes on the market such as aluminum, Anodized aluminum, wood or PVC, which is the most commonly used. It is important to choose a profile with a good thermal break, accompanied by low emission crystals and an argon gas chamber for high energy efficiency in order to achieve considerable energy savings.

Interior partitions

Laminated plasterboard partitions (plasterboard). These are formed by a structure of galvanized metal profiles, (channels and uprights), forming a light and consistent framework and with plasterboard plates on both sides, for greater thermal and acoustic insulation we insert mineral wool inside. There are many types of plates depending on the needs, such as water-repellent, fire-retardant or highly resistant, among others.

Ventilated foundation

The foundation is the base of the house where the structure will be attached and one of the most effective systems is the ventilated screed. It is mainly formed by a concrete perimeter band, lost formwork consisting of hollow polypropylene pieces in the shape of an igloo and raised from the ground placed on a layer of concrete allowing good insulation avoiding humidity and contamination of the randon gas, which emanates from the earth. Once they are cast, they receive the concrete layer by vibrating it and analyzing it with test tubes.

These pieces fit together making a highly resistant body. It consists of a lost formwork system, with a frame arranged to contain the concrete, formed by joining pieces of recycled polypropylene. There is a wide range and variety of pieces available that allow us to reach different heights of the raised floor depending on the characteristics of the project. The height of the parts used must be adequate to guarantee proper ventilation.

The concrete slab is supported on the ground with a thickness between 15 cm and 30 cm depending on the project and its purpose is to support additional structures. This layer of concrete is poured on a compacted ground and can be made of reinforced concrete to withstand bending stresses. It can have different finishes, depending on the technique that is applied.

ThermiQ Radiant Heating

ThermIQ is not an electric heater. It only uses electricity from time to time to heat the “glass paste” inside. Exclusive ThermIQ technology. It uses photons to generate heat. Its efficiency was internationally recognized last summer in the MKB INNOVATION TOP 100 in Eindoven (Holland), which awarded our heating system second place in the ranking of innovative products seeking energy efficiency. Thanks to this prestigious recognition, ThermIQ now has a new argument that certifies the quality of our proposal. You will not find another heating system on the market that saves more than ThermIQ ..

Heat pump system

A heat recovery unit is a device that allows to recover part of the energy from the heated air inside a room or premises, through the mechanical ventilation system of said air, by means of an exchanger that puts the interior air that is extracted into contact with the one from the outside that is introduced, without mixing the air from the two circuits.

In winter it works by heating the cold air that comes in from outside, while in summer it allows cooling the hot air from outside, also having filters that reduce the level of pollutants and considerably improve the quality of said air.

As required by current regulations, any home or commercial premises requires a ventilation system to renew the indoor air to the outside and simultaneously take air from the outside, allowing us to maintain the quality of the indoor air, so that by incorporating this equipment we will reduce the energy consumption of considerable form.
